Driving makes me feel like I'm finally a grown-up. It was one of the few things that I really looked forward to when I was young. I used to love sitting in the driver's seat fiddling with the steering, gear, brakes and accelerator while waiting and doing nothing in the car. of course with the engine off, so basically everything's locked. I would ask my sister where she's heading and pretend to drive her to her destination while making stupid adult-like conversations. haha. This was probably all the way back in primary school? At that point of time, I felt that driving was the coolest thing ever. Now that I have gotten my license, it reminds me frequently that I am no longer that young and naive girl who thought that drivers are cool people; I have joined the cool league hahah

And I secretly have a thing for car keys. HAHAHA somehow, I always found it exhilarating just by holding them. I know this is weird but really! Last time, I would ask to hold the car key for my dad and I loved it especially when he allow me to stick the key into the ignition keyhole. Even now, when my dad places the car key in my palm, I will start grinning to myself like an idiot.

Nowadays, I'm the one driving when I go out together with my family during the weekends. The furthest I drove was from Ang Mo Kio to Tampines? Expressways are my favourite now. No traffic lights, wider lanes and I can drive sooo much faster. Driving makes me feel awesome (:

I can sense my dad's uneasiness when I drive. He still doesn't trust me in doing a good job on my own. There's lots of nagging and telling me what to do as I drive; I don't mind it at all but it makes me really stress and I will start worrying a lot. But I don't blame him. It's only natural for him to get paranoid since the zoom zoom is his and the safety of my family is in my hands. I can't wait for the day he allows me to drive alone on my own!
